Monterey Mix – 4/11/2020

The silence of living was dramatic with the normally pungent echoes of activity muffled and the soft demur of nature shrilling in the background. A scattering of strangers huddled in their own bubble shunned recognition and acknowledgment like startled spies avoiding capture. Shuttered doorways marked their intentions and the usual lingering smells of sustenance were acutely absent. My footsteps held no destination for there was no place to harbor such curiosities marking a sense of lost despair. Sunshine gave way to darkened skies and the occasional vocal chords of wet weather. I longed for the rain and its cleansing attributes for I was in need of change.
