Monterey Mix – 4/16/2020

My dreams of late have been particularly crisp in their vivaciousness with those I know to be gone acting as spectral DJs to the melodramas unfolding in my mind. A favorite feline of mine whose noble disposition rendered favor and coddling drifted between my feet and faded into obscurity for his welfare is unbeknownst to me. His siblings languidly lounged in the thick reeds of green that blanketed the area tossing remnants of bone and sinew from recent kills at me with open contempt. Protests bubble within me, but they simply laugh (as cats are known to do) and throw shade in my direction in the form of noxious and liquid markings. Damn! I once held these masochistic minions in the palm of my hand and nurtured them as any pet human would. God I miss them. And my little dog too.
