Downcast and trodden by a cumbersome year, it was by the whimsy and jolly good nature of life that incited a smile and tinge of nostalgia for long lost friends. A well worn path for daily treks to maintain a bounce in my step gave way to a sighting of newborn spirits that relished in their glorious youth and curiosity. A cast of feline actors, a trio of cohorts, raced across the stage, oblivious to a captive audience of one and danced amid the rugged landscape unfettered by fear or caution. By their diminutive stature, perhaps four full moons have lighted their lithe forms. I should have foreseen such an event as their mother has been lurking with subtle overtones of investigative foraging and most likely, a suitable place to nestle down. Tasty sustenance is always the best opening to a friendship and I shall provide such morsels of diplomacy until they see fit to dare an opening remark or cast me aside like a pestering merchant. I may have offer a tribute to the airy deities of animals for laying track to this humble home and an animal lover.
If you want a bounce in your daily trajectory of living, a companion pet is a beautiful thing. Life is too short to go it alone.
