Fire Kitchen – 10/2/2020

Have the challenges of feeding yourself become a burden or an inspirational challenge?  Many of us have basic skills to provide a nourishing meal even the dog would eat.  But vast swaths of us also can`t crack an egg without personal injury lawyers involved.  There are an abundant number of resources to guide you through the steps necessary to prepare a meal worthy of Instagram.  Sure, many of those dishes might turn out to look like before and after photos of a botched plastic surgery, but the attempt is a necessary step for you to enter the world of culinary prowess.  The true test will come when you have to prepare a meal for friends or family where your mettle will be tested and quick access to the poison control call center would be handy.  I have rattled my way into a fairly competent role of chef having started with canned products being reheated and not ignited into a bloody inferno.  I have fed friends without follow up death threats or unwarranted hospital bills.  I have worked in professional kitchens that have sharpened my reservoir of skills with no lawsuits pending.  And now I can confidently replicate dishes from around the world and feast on culinary delights without leaving the country.  So where you in this game of dining?
