Fire Kitchen – 12/29/2020

Intrepid is as intrepid does……seemingly in the wake of outrageous demonstrations of excessive brutality and wanton disregard for the safety of those they are bound to protect, the fire of fortitude and resolute voices of protest are dampened by austere authority. It is a mixed bag of abhorrent opportunists and righteous democracy that have escalated acts of peaceful disobedience to be perceived as callous attempts at empty rebellion and disorder. Law enforcement is vital to a civilized community and in its purest form, sanctions trust and protection for the average citizen. But the emblem of public well being has been marred historically by the acts of the negligent and empowered and it has left a bitter taste in its wake. Just as we must not judge one by associated groups, we must not pass judgement on the entirety as a whole by the ill conceived actions of those that hold no regard for others. And more than ever, we must hold onto each other and look for guidance and direction among ourselves as the dearth of leadership continues and only words of strife and threatened force echo from its halls on high.
