Gilbert Groove – 5/7/2020

An unquenchable waterfall of coffee is consuming the very flame within me and like a robust accelerant, my senses are bursting with fathomless fury. Any consumable morsel within my purview is ravenously devoured with a level of glee and zest unimaginable by mere mortals. I claw at the mouse with gnarled fingers as I scan the digital divide for more sustenance to satiate the boredom and monotony that plague my shriveling mind. Puppies with clown pants, cats eating vegetables, people being stupid people, the ceaseless tirade of imagery is nearing insanity. I puff away on loathsome cigarettes like a golem hiding in a corner as seismic hacks of an irritated lung bellow with curses and spittle. The media continues to scold me for any optimism while a belligerent child rants on the stage of the highest office that he is innocent of any foul play. I have lived as a hermit in the outstretched hands of civilization where an orchestra of waves gave comfort to my sheltered soul. But this is something else. I am someone else.

But there is a shimmer of austere happiness if you look around. Grab it, pet it, take care of it….and let this track ignite your imagination.
