LA Vision, YouNotUs
Truth has become the ultimate outlier and its place in the world seems no longer relevant in many circles of society and class. Truth can be weaponized in the warfare against deceit and subterfuge, but its power lies in the user and the believer. What we acknowledge as truth can be twisted into false narratives that lose its potency. What we know to be false can be paraded as enlightenment and its intoxicating brew imbibed by those willing to accept. Truth can get lost in a cyclone of information with its destructive intent hidden behind a facade of calm and integrity. Sometimes we are fatigued by what we do not know and we relinquish the strength of honesty to the bliss of ignorance. More often than naught, we settle on our haunches, let the world beyond our own microcosm spiral by and live life with the blinders of unforeseen powers. It is easy to settle into a routine set forth by others, live a provincial, preordained life and blink back the tears as we look upon the world for a final time. The idea of true freedom sounds boring and trivial when everything we need is a click away on Amazon.
As a sign of the apocalypse, I have ants streaming out of an electrical socket in the kitchen…..it is what it is. You can listen to them and find them entertaining or you can spiral into a state of despair as truth is bled out in song.
