R & B Jams – 10/7/2020

There are pivotal moments in our life times when we have an opportunity to evaluate ourselves and the choices we`ve made to get us to where we are today.  For many, the mid-life crisis is a epochal moment for individuals to say yay or nay to their lives and then decide to make radical changes to upend or to reinvent themselves in a different light if they so choose.  I have reconciled with myself a number of times as I have traversed the Earth in search of something meaningful and events have unfolded that define our place.  Sometimes, the selfish id has made its presence known and dictated my actions.  Sometimes, the devoted son has made an appearance and I have dutifully been the son I was meant to be.  I haven`t achieved what many may consider to be successful monikers of our stroll through mortality.  I haven`t amassed the grandeur of wealth to showcase to others my importance.  And no significant accolades have been showered on me for instances of divine enlightenment to merit my worth.  But these are trivial and superficial notifications and not a true measure of one`s self worth as many have seemingly adopted.  So where am I?  Do I face the snipping of my mortal coil having achieved nothing?  Or is there something more waiting in the wayward horizon?  What is your perspective?
