R & B JAMS – 6/8/2020

I lay in a field of majestic green gazing at the canvass of the sky oblivious to all the bloated rhetoric and mindless chatter of material wealth. My gaze drifts dreamily from one cloud sculpture to the next and heap praise on the artists whomever they may be. A speckled Lady bug of regal color hums merrily along my visage with a slow and purposeful flight pattern to some destination I will not know. A sensual breeze brushes along my cheek with invitation and I close my eyes to its touch. Only the stuttering staccato of a myriad of birds rings in my ears for all else has fallen away and melts into the ravenous earthy soil. I am alone but not isolated. I have earned knowledge through an expanse of experiences, but am ignorant of so much. I have played the social game set forth by the powers that be and do not wish to be a willing participant any longer. I am full of wanderlust yet jaded somehow from my recent travels. Food no longer satiates the palate and I crawl into a bowl of dreary oatmeal for sustenance. A waking dream lacking purpose has settled and am at a loss to awaken.
