Tasty10 Joints – 10/1/2022

Despite the near debilitating shyness that once shadowed my every step, friendship came rather easily for me. Whether on the ad hoc playgrounds of childhood (where we were yet to learn of class distinctions and racial bias), college fiefdoms (where liberty and no sense of true responsibility haunted us), raucous bars and clubs (booze and drugs helped) and business trips to destinations unknown (again, booze provided the grease of social enterprise), I would find myself engaged in revelry and play and my immediate companions were the closest thing to kin beside my blood relatives. As the clock of age has progressed from marathon to sprint, no matter how many times I smash the damn thing, friendship has become more willy nilly and casual and for the most part, without a lot of the pretenses and misguided judgements of youth. It`s as if the notion of camaraderie has taken its place on the pedestal of life. Perhaps its the fear that we are on the tail end of our waking hours that we put a little more value on just being and sharing a laugh or war stories (from skirmishes to full blown chaos) to spend the time. I truly love independence and self isolation yet there is this gnawing agony that I should go out to play with the local kids (after their prostrate exam of course and a note from the doctor).

We hope you are spending time in any way you can with your loved ones, hated ones and annoying neighbors. We are all gone too soon.
