Densha Jams – 10/30/2020

A stagnation of my normally festive imagination has opened the gates to the hodgepodge of nostalgic roads I had darkened these many years. Some are fraught with devilish deeds that walked the fine line of morality while others are potholed with treacherous comedy. Though the mystical path where I traversed the muddled and clever landscapes of Japan provide a lurid glimpse into a life of unknowns and cerebral pleasures. The campy metropolis with its glaring sensory feast still held childlike curiosities despite how much I consumed of her. The order among the chaos, the refined mingled with scattered bodies of the inebriated, the soft hum of life colored with the obnoxious noises of modern living…..then a retreat into the abyss of the ocean at the end of the world. The demure affections of wild felines that illuminated my life with their sullen gazes, Siren purrs and destructive antics. Blending in fluidly with the locals until I uttered words known to them yet flavored with foreign spices both bitter and amusing. I felt utterly alone yet surrounded by familiars. It was grand.
