Densha Jams – 6/13/2020

I`m melting….melting…melting I say! The intense burning inferno that is the sun is whittling away at any sense of reason for a puny human such as me to persist with any ounce of joy. Like a befuddled and skittish shrew, I burrow deeply into the darkened confines of the home with the AC set at maximum warp and literally plant myself at the gaping maw of the vent to suck in every morsel of chilled atmosphere into my lungs. But I am fortunate to have such a frigid escape to languish in as the newly minted kittens bear the brunt of the afternoon heat. Using my shallow and limited skill sets in cardboard architecture, I have constructed a two room chalet with an outdoor spare gazebo for them to shelter in from the embers of the light, but they have yet to take up residence. Perhaps they feel the structure is beneath them and shake their heads in disgust at the futile efforts of the large, hairless one. Cats can be such critics with any thing you may offer them whether it be sustenance or affection. I guess I must wait and see if they will have me as their caretaker or simply be the recipient of their obnoxiousness and rejection. Damn I love them!
