As I approach the age where questions of regret and inklings of vanity begin creeping into my psyche, I often take a survey of my past deeds to justify or vilify their merits. The age old adage of, `youth is wasted on the young` comes to mind, but I am quite certain this is the excuse given by many who failed to make claim of opportunity to just be and squandered their time in pursuit of artificial measures. For some, the acquisition of fabulous homes, equal velocity in automobiles and mementos to admire and for others to envy were the key accomplishments and that of course required a tremendous sacrifice. For others, these capitalistic posters were not their aim and they pursued life with an attitude of collective experiences to line their memories with. Obviously there are trade offs and to each their own on where they are and where they want to be. A measure of wealth is quite elusive aside from standard markers set forth by the mindfully willing. I do have acidic regrets, but not from a lack of accumulation of things. I will stretch my arms with light footed ambiguity as I march toward the end and make smile inducing introductions to the quirky sides of life.
That is the seductive nature of this prose. I give myself willingly. Take me away Densha Jams.
