Densha Jams – 9/2/2020

Why do gifts affect us so?  Regardless of culture or religion, there is a reverent occasion to impart or receive a token, a symbol or simply a keepsake tchotchke.  For some, this mythical exchange among friends or strangers can cast an indelible spell on our mind that lingers till our death.  For me, it was a chilling concert of rain and cloud that mystified the air coupled with nostalgic sorrow that met with a doorbell.  An androgynous package gave way to a silicon bike seat cover.  At last, my aging rump would have company to battle the rumbling pavement.  A gesture that will stay with me as long as I ride.  Now on to the road my Densha!
