Gilbert Groove – 12/7/20201

Time ravages onward without a thought to consequence and we mere mortals are a measure by which the ominous march is recorded. As fast as you can pass gas, a decade will have transpired and while still holding onto the last threads of youth, it can have a meager impact on your perception of days gone by. But as we dip our toes into the pool of age, remarkably stoic advances become noticeable and the soft clicks of bone and cartilage beseech our ears with rising pitch and frequency. We begin to shed layers of perceived joys and merriment we once pursued with such vigor for the more meaningful and subdued contours of life. A once bold and fiery palate becomes muted and shies away from the turbulence caused by such impulsive and adventurous eating. The chaos of noise and the volume of its character suddenly and effortlessly does a tap dance in your head which you seek to switch off for a more softer blanket of infused melody. Even the joy of endless sleep has lost its charm and we harken the break of light to squander our waking moments rather than seep deep into the alluring darkness of night. But fear not my graying companions for as we try on new skins and apparel for the days to come, a new efficacy of rewarding experiences shall bathe us in a new way of thinking and bring forth a sense of contentment we had yet to foresee.
