Gilbert Groove – 2/12/2022

A flurry of sensory overload washed over me today as the thrilling escapades of space travel zoomed into our periphery for us to watch like some perverted dash cam in the cockpit of the Dragon. As we cheered this endeavor into the next chapter of progress, we were also met with the damning images of violence and ill tempered contestants in the game of racial tensions and political gamesmanship. We were alerted to the extremist elements that are wreaking havoc and perhaps creating false narratives to a story of protest and pent up frustration. Jagged story lines of the pandemic slip through our periphery and unfurl new sensations of dread as numbers tick up in areas that were deemed safe by the ruling majority. It is a strange reality we are digesting each day as if several sci-fi novels fell into a boiling pot of water to let loose their plots into one glorified stew of upheaval and burning protagonists. Seemingly a whole lot of incendiary seasoning is being tossed into the mix as if its mission is solely to light our butt holes on fire and make our stomachs churn with disgust and sadness.

Please find some moments of silence and peace today as the turmoil continues. Some days are harder than others and this is no exception. We hope you enjoy this soothing selection over a wholesome (or not) evening meal.
