Dark sorcery has festered deep into the catacombs of our minds and we are seemingly willing consumers of its malevolent brew. The powers that be hide well their true nature and mask their seething manipulation with sweet rhetoric of happiness and false ideals of fulfillment. The pharmaceutical monoliths hold daily orgies as a tangle of flesh, gluttony and profit lift their rotted corpses above the frenzy of numbed morality and a buffet of dire mortality. Yet we meander on with the blind pursuit of superficial joy and we tread on the decency of humanity as we gobble up trinkets of glitter and shiny notions of success. Our thoughts are constantly lobotomized from our true identity as we are branded to the pleasure of callous wealth. I myself am guilty of playing hide`n`seek with responsibility for the caustic urges of pleasure that coat our young adulthood like guiltless molasses. My liver and bank account lie nearly depleted from reckless frolic, oblivious to the dire consequences of clownish pursuits.

But there are purer paths and acts of solace to dictate a rising sun without the heavy dread of hangovers and shocking scrum of fast food wrappers. Choose to live. A life succumbing to the bounty around you without the cost of your dignity and the fragile relationships you are lucky to have mustered. I`m a gaseous relic from an age of rotary phones and cassette tapes and I have managed to relish the days to come.
