Monterey Mix – 4/19/2023

The sweet nectar of grapes so soothingly lured from its enticing globes are rendered into a vastly superior ambrosia that we humans dare to touch with our tongues so that we can imbibe the spirits that take over our souls. For some, the experience is overwhelming and it can belie a wicked encounter with life forces that dictate what we do not want and cannot remember. For others, it can elevate the mind (and body) to new found heights of ecstasy and the world no longer reminds us of her harshness, but rather the beauty that lies hidden beneath. I have always had a nefarious relationship with booze and it has had a roller coaster effect on carnival like enjoyment to unhinged bouts with civilized manners. Long has it been since I have danced with the succulence of wine and though I remember her movements well, it can not compare with the sultry dance of the experience in the now. The colors that wash over every sensory outpost and the refreshing taste of life that screams with glee in your gullet are without prose or comparison. I do look forward to the day when I can once again speak at length with the tasty vixen and linger on the days events with rosy eyes.
