SWOOP! – 11/1/2020

An undulating rhythm of incendiary beats roll through the air mingling with the dreadnought oppression of dazzling heat. Taking refuge in the shade of modern shelter and aided by the tornado like ceiling fan that shrieks from above, I gleefully indulge in a steaming elixir of roasted beans and cow juice. A staccato of wailing sirens infiltrates the body of harmony emanating from within my enclave to remind me of the reality that has settled on our collective thoughts. But it is with sincere levity that I deflect the daily onslaught of dread and pursue courses of action to alleviate the numbing knowledge and to hinder the hemorrhaging of hope. A chat with a friend. The whimsical affections of a pet (how I do miss my cats). An ill advised portion of any form of sweets. I have forsaken the ambrosia of grapes and other fermented liquids as the protests from various internal organs were too well staged and ambivalent to my to pleas. As sources of entertainment grow nigh, I must switch on the creative spirit once more.

Thankfully, a musical sage has applied his medicinal rhythms to soothe the inferno…Swoop! to the rescue!!
