Swoop! – 9/24/2020

A fierce battle rages in the foundation of my spine. Legions of soft tissue slash it out with battalions of somber bone. A symphony of pain screams out like a charging bugle. I twist, I turn, I stretch things that I didn`t know I could stretch. My strongest ally, Yoga, offers little assistance in the onslaught and I curse his soft melodic mantras. Drink, drink…..bring me the blood of virgin grapes! Oh where is that damn parcel of raided tobacco?! Aspirin has long depleted its strength and I dare not seek the demonic plague of voodoo pain killers. Oh will not the sky open its accursed bowels and strike me down with its lightning hand?
