Swoop! – 6/20/2020

I feel as if I`m living on the razor`s edge of biting reality and lucid dreams where everything is feasible and nearly impossible to do. A place where the best of me is within reach as I am torn away from its glory by an unseen hand of complacency. As I strive for health with the nuances of fitness and compost eating, I am submerged into the reckless abyss of chemical nightmares as seen on TV. I ignore the allure of blissful messaging from the shadows behind the veil of manipulation yet I grapple with the delicious dizziness of its temporal pleasures. Money is a means to an end yet it continues to draw me in like a temptress into her mangled web of despair and ruin. Empty faces compete with each other for the basic of necessities yet attend church with the religious hymns of righteousness and the notoriety of their god. We have the right to speak our minds yet are castigated for our beliefs and willingness to voice our views. A reckoning is approaching with the maleficence of disaster on its tongue and we seem to be eager to listen to the siren call of destruction. When shall we wake from this matrix of our own creation?
