The pain of loss has a wide spectrum of intensities and how we deal or reckon with those feelings has a wider berth still. Age and experience may offer comfort or perhaps a swifter resolution to the raw exposure of infinite absence, betrayal or simply a recipient of a callous rub from life. For some, it may make them recoil from further involvement in such endeavors to shield themselves from future sorrow. For others, they may dive head first into mimicking the past with further actions to regain a sense of denial. Then there is the question of what is happiness without the knowledge of its opposite to judge from. For the most part, I let life happen and take me where it leads me. Of course, there are moments where judgement, good or bad, will dictate an impending outcome, but I don`t make it a personal goal to pursue things beyond measure. Some may find this whimsical and self serving without purpose. Perhaps they are correct in their general assumptions, but I am without the heavy chains of expectations or the false praise of accomplishments that will wither with my death. I just find life more amusing when I expect the unexpected and judge not by what does not come.
