Swoop! – 7/16/2020

Society and civilization are fragile creatures that can appear content and calm when all measure of normalcy align with the stars until a dynamic shift or disruption throws it into disarray and chaos. The friendly neighbor you shared beers with can turn into a revolting menace and cuddly cat that sat purring in your lap this morning can rip your eyes out without hesitation. A rather bleak metaphor of things to come, but given the strain and thick smell of general frustration in the air, a solemn consideration. Wars have been fought on far less trivial matters and as the world around us moves forward, we are left sitting in the gathering mud and asked to build castles from them. Some view our situation as a temporary rift in our normal purview of living, some a prologue to apocalyptic events to come while others disavow any such nonsense as media antics and political drama. It may take the very specter of death facing them down while alone in a septic room of modern medicine until they acknowledge the dilemma we face. It is disheartening and sometimes even scary to hear such words of oblivious opinion. The light at the end of the tunnel grows dimmer by the day. We will be here to give sound to sanity so please stay tuned.
