SWOOP! – 9/7/2020

The meaning of existence and pursuit of life goals have come face to face with the basic tenets of mortality this past year. Our place on this planet and the meaningful chase of relevance have been upended and we huddle in our shelters seeking guidance and some sort of moniker of hope. Despite the terror of uncertainty, we are for the most part better off than many others that share this world. This epic event has shown the raw side of inequality and the fragility of our reality. It would be easier to simply shake off the downtrodden news of the day, but can we continue to choose to ignore such folly? We have a voice and measured paths to aid in the good fight. Shall we stray from the road of personal indemnity and cherish the perceived luxuries so ingrained in our consciousness or do we make a mental check and derail the commercial values we have come to idolize? Take heart and choose wisely.

So with a notch of mortality clearly nicked into my growing belt, I go forth into the breach of life once more with a vengeance. And here comes my partner in crime….Swoop!
