01. The Shuzz M15.1
Joey Slick
You never truly appreciate the ocean until you live near it and even more so when you are taken away from its presence by a linear move deep into landlocked territory. Though not an amphibious being, I appreciated the serenity of its constant motion, the powerful embrace when taking a swim and the notion it could nourish me with its bounty. Granted I held a fear of its potentially complicit nature whereby its sheer unseen strength could swallow you like a lilt guppy or that menacing things did indeed lurk within its mystical shadows. I have ventured out on boats (safe), taken a swim close to shore (safe) and even managed a short, pitiful ride on a surfboard (sort of safe), but was never able to commit to learning that craft for fear that all my hard work would end up in the belly of a famished shark. Most beach goers don`t realize the full potential of the shore when there are restrictions subduing your fun (i.e. campfires) so my time on a lonely stretch of the Japanese coastline where all was permissible enabled me to truly relish in the joys of eating, drinking and making an ass of myself around a roaring bonfire with no one around, but the critical and sarcastic denizens of the night to mark me as a fool. Now, I`m lucky if it rains and the restraining order from the HOA from dancing half naked in the pedestrian streets of our neighborhood make the wanting even more poignant and sad.
I hope you have something to relish in your every day. May this Shuzz track be a boon to your imagination if not.
