True Joints – 1/1/2021

The joys, trials and emotional tribulations of life are not scripted.  If they are, that`s a pretty boring existence.  You may find yourself enjoying (or fretting) your daily routine with the world swirling by like an out of control carousel.  Blurred faces and facades electrifying your senses, yet you are barely aware of its presence.  Right now, I find myself in the dark armpit of the devil`s playground, playing hide n` seek with the belligerent sun that seems to gain strength with each passing moment.  It is a familiar setting, one I have frequented, but with a `get out of jail` card at my disposal to return to my known meanderings of Japan – where the seafood is fresh and dainty, the people are courteous and bewildering and the gentle meowing of adopted felines drift past my feet like ninjas in training.  But the pull of love and the honor of a son are at stake and I gently guide my being and its relentless pursuit of defining moments to focus on the now.  You may understand this, maybe you have a similar identity, but it is easy to find words of torment, happiness….the juices of our awakening moments….in the verbal riffs of the True Joints series. 

Shall all of you find a glorious New Year to behold amid the trappings of hardship as we shed the dreadful skin of a past year gone amuck.
