Monterey Mix – 1/30/2022

I am not what you would call an ambitious person by any imagination of the word. A life characterized by poignant success and the accolades and recognition that accompany it were but a passing ship on the edge of a horizon adorning the sea. Money has always been a simple medium to gain access to pleasures both physical and emotional and the quality of such joys were biased and distorted by the petty and misguided folly of individuals who judged life by wealth. A convenient store inspired picnic on the beach with endless panoramas beat out any celebrated eatery where you were paying to be held hostage to their rules of fine dining. Though I do hold some trepidation toward the future with its ambiguous finalities and unforeseen misdirects, I try to hold steadfast to my notion of living and hone my mind and my mortal meat suit to weather the incoming tide of age and the lowered wattage of brain power. I am not privy to my forthcoming destination or my final residence for astute and provincial planning are not my forte. As long as I can laugh with genuine mirth and look forward to the day to come, I will be pleased with whatever this fickle beast of life plans to lay before my feet.

I hope this nuanced and mellow track will help you think in the moment rather than muddle through worry about tomorrow.
